Victor Ruiz is one of the hottest names in underground electronic music right now, and this 12' on Oliver Huntemann's always-reliable Senso imprint gives a pretty clear reason why. Side A brings us Red Lights - a spacey journey to the heart of the dancefloor - tweaked and shaped for maximum effect on big room sound-systems. Dutchman Bart Skils steps up on remix duties to provide a sick Motor Speedway mix- somewhere between the Krautrock influences of Kraftwerk and the sleek techno of Detroit's 2nd wave. The flip brings us Nevermind - Victor Ruiz doing what he does best - exploring track dynamics within a perfectly developed journey - including an unsettling and trippy vocal that lifts the track even further towards the stars.
