Dan Curtin's name has long been associated with future looking Techno, machine music oozing with soul and emotion. He has released on many seminal labels throughout his career and left an indelible mark on contemporary electronic music. 'Alive / Cascade' is perhaps a lesser known entry into Curtin's catalogue, released on Strictly in 1994 and is almost the perfect synthesis of NYC deep House and Detroit Techno, a true slept on gem of a record. The music contained within the grooves of this record defy any sort of time frame, it's almost hard to believe it's over 20+ years old.
