Fresh from appearing on 'Herbert's Best 7' earlier this year with the beguiling 'Handmade Desire', Sobek returns to Monaberry with his first full release for the label. And if you know his material from previous releases on the likes of MoBlack and Chapter 24, you'll already know how much attention this should command...

'Modest Is Hottest': not just a fine life motto, but also vitalising slice of incredible dancefloor emotion. A rolling agenda based around a rising arpeggio, this surges beyond limits taking you and the crowd higher and higher on every bar, this is the epitome of evocative story telling techno.

It's joined by two more startling and ultimately cosmic, feel-enriched trips: 'Emotional Chastity' builds around swooning chords, sparkling drum work, otherworldly flurries and textures before a bassline cut through and makes everyone in a five mile radius levitate. 'Stoned Romance', meanwhile, strips everything back to a hearty percussive shakedown that's spacious enough for the arpeggio, pads and chords and fuse, smelt and continually rise in a provocative way that Sobek is swiftly sculpting into his own signature.
